At Pant Mawr Farmhouse Cheeses, we are committed to sustainable farming and environmental stewardship. Our farm sits in the beautiful Preseli Hills of Pembrokeshire, and we take our responsibility to protect this landscape seriously.
Our Commitments
- Local Sourcing — All our milk comes from our own herd and neighbouring farms within 5 miles
- Vegetarian Rennet — All our cheeses are made with vegetarian rennet
- Minimal Waste — Whey from cheesemaking is returned to the land as natural fertiliser
- Biodiversity — We maintain hedgerows and wildlife corridors across our farmland
- Packaging — We use recyclable and minimal packaging wherever possible
Carbon Footprint
As a small-scale artisan producer, our carbon footprint is naturally low. Short supply chains, local milk collection, and traditional production methods all contribute to a smaller environmental impact compared to industrial cheese production.
